Need to reset your skin? Try Dermaroller

Suffering from line and wrinkles? Has the sun taken it out on your complexion? Or is uneven pigmentation and the curse of acne scars that won’t go away making your life a misery? Here at Refresh Cosmetic Surgery in Berkshire, London and Buckinghamshire, we have a treatment that can really get under your skin in the best possible way.

Dermaroller is a name of a new, safe, and efficient treatment that works on damaged skin by deploying microneedles that stimulate the surface, promote an increase in natural collagen and elastin production, and improve circulation – which kickstarts the natural repair and regeneration of the treated area deep within the skin layers

How does Dermaroller work?

The treatment procedure is relatively harmless: a topical anaesthetic is applied to the area in question half an hour beforehand. This is followed by a brief session where the Dermaroller is pressed and moved across the treatment area.

Each pass creates extremely tiny punctures across the skin, which initiates a healing process that regenerates the area in need of attention.

What our clients love about the Dermaroller treatment is that it introduces no chemicals to the body – it merely activates and maximises a natural healing process.

Post-treatment symptoms include skin redness – which fades after a couple of days at most – and studies conclude that skin improvements have developed for up until six months afterwards.

No pain, all gain

Obviously, there is an element of mild discomfort during the treatment, although that depends on what part of the body is being treated – and while clients usually experience dryness and flakiness in the treated area a couple of days after the treatment, that’s a natural consequence of the increased production of skin cells, and by the end of the week, there is a visibly smoother and healthier appearance.
