PLEXR Soft Surgery for the Skin
There are many common skin conditions which, although benign, are less than attractive and often cause the sufferer embarrassment and distress. Removing these unsightly marks on the skin typically involves laser or energy-based devices which have the potential downside of creating more trauma and, even, the possibility of scarring the skin further.
Now, with Soft Surgery by PLEXR, the world’s first plasma generator, it is possible to treat a wide range of skin concerns without significant risks or downtime.
Skin conditions treated by Soft Surgery by PLEXR:
- Removal of mild skin growths, known as dermatofibromata
- Acne treatment
- Removal of naevi (moles)
- Removal of verrucae (moles)
- Scar revision, particularly keloid scars and acne scarring
- Treatment of xanthelasmata, which are yellow deposits of fat beneath the skin, usually near eyelids
- Tattoo removal (all colours)
- Treatment of swollen periumbilical striae (stretch marks around the belly button)
- Removal treatment of Papulosa Nigra, an extremely common condition affecting up to 30% of black people
Skin laxity can also be treated and Soft Surgery by PLEXR is safe enough to use for non-surgical facelifting and even treating the delicate area around the eyes, yet effective enough to induce a degree of body lifting. Soft Surgery by PLEXR can even achieve a tightening of the belly button area.
How does Soft Surgery by PLEXR work?
Utilising innovative sublimation technology, the PLEXR device ionises the gas particles above the treatment area to turn superficial skin cells into a gas. Any skin problem is then removed without the need for incisions or damage to the surrounding tissue, a common problem with many of the laser and light-energy based therapies available.
How long does a treatment take?
The length of your treatment session and the number you’ll require depends on the skin condition that is being treated. Typically, a session will last from twenty to thirty minutes and you may require a few sessions to clear up your specific skin concern. You should arrive thirty minutes in advance of your treatment session to have the target area numbed with local anaesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort.
Is there any downtime after a Soft Surgery by PLEXR treatment?
Initially, there will be some redness, swelling and possible discomfort after your Soft Surgery treatment but this will quickly subside. Dots of carbon crust appear on the skin which last for about a week; these should not be forcibly removed but can be camouflaged with make-up, such as mineral foundation.
Are they any risks to a Soft Surgery be PLEXR treatment?
Possible complications are minimal as there are no incisions being made into the skin. The PLEXR device only removes the targeted skin cells so there’s no trauma to surrounding tissue.
